ABAG Legislation Committee

The Legislation Committee provides to the Executive Board recommendations for ABAG's legislative program; studies proposals affecting regional organization; advises on proposed amendments to the Association's Bylaws; provides recommendations for Association policy on regional, state and national issues, and handles other matters as assigned by the Executive Board.

Members represent a mix of cities and counties and varied geographic areas.

Meetings: Generally meets on same day as the Executive Board, bi-monthly, third Thursday

At the January 18th Executive Board meeting, the ABAG Executive Board approved the Joint MTC/ABAG Advocacy Program as recommended by the Legislation Committee at a Joint ABAG/MTC Legislation Meeting on January 8th. The Advocacy program details issues, goals and strategies at both the state and federal levels to support the activities of both ABAG and MTC. The Advocacy Program is available here.
