Mobility and Curb Data Guidebook

The Mobility & Curb Data Guidebook gives public agencies a clear, practical framework for applying the Mobility Data Specification (MDS) and Curb Data Specification (CDS) to manage curb space, shared mobility services and real‑time street operations. It provides essential context on the MDS/CDS data standards, key use cases, implementation steps, workflows, sample contract language and other guidance to get agencies started.

The Guidebook focuses on how public agencies can put MDS and CDS in practice – for example, by converting written policy into digital rules that make better use of modern infrastructure and technology. The Guidebook is grounded in free and open-source data standards, which only require collaboration between policymakers, planners and IT teams. With this Guidebook, agencies can unlock a more connected, efficient and forward-looking approach to managing everyday transportation operations and assets.
