California law requires each jurisdiction’s General Plan to address the mandated elements listed in Government Code section 65302. These include:

• Land use
• Circulation
• Housing
• Conservation
• Open space
• Noise
• Safety
• Air quality (some jurisdictions)
• Environmental justice (some jurisdictions)
