The Technical Assistance Portal, a joint effort of the Association of Bay Area Governments and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, is a one-stop shop of programs that provide planning and technical support to make it easier for city and county agencies to access resources they need.
With more than 300 resources in the portal to date, it includes programs to help meet local and regional goals for greenhouse gas reduction, equity, affordability and resilience. The searchable database can also be filtered by topics such as housing, environment, land use, resilience and transportation.

By compiling programs, such as Housing Technical Assistance, Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN), the Pavement Management Technical Assistance Program (P-TAP) and StreetSaver® into a single location, staff from Bay Area cities and counties can more quickly and easily access resources they need, as well as learn about other programs that may be useful to them. This regional collaboration helps local governments increase their efficiency, maximize savings of time and money, and ultimately, better serve residents and businesses in the Bay Area.
New resources are regularly being added to the Technical Assistance database. Organizations that have contributed materials to the portal include:
