Bay Area Planning Directors Association Spring Meeting Housing Solutions in a Time of Crisis

May 13, 2016

8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Preservation Park, Nile Hall

668 13th Street, Oakland

The Bay Area housing market is in crisis. A booming regional economy and rapid population growth have led to exceptionally high rents, a severe lack of housing supply, displacement and extreme commutes.

Conference presenters will offer suggestions and solutions during this time of crisis. Speakers will focus on strategies and innovations in building urban development equitable to all. Panelists will brief us on current legislation and replicable best-practices, as well as relevant policy and political context.

Some of the most skilled affordable housing developers in the state will share experiences and opinions, highlight project successes and talk about how these projects come to fruition in a challenging market.

The meeting fee of $45 includes breakfast and lunch
