The Briefing Book for Resilient by Design Challenge sets the regional and local context for the Resilient by Design Bay Area Challenge teams and advisors. It provides an overview of the particular climate change threats to the Bay Area, recommended principles to address them, and some of the history that has created the existing socioeconomic strata. The report is meant to provide a common starting point of understanding for the interdisciplinary design teams.
