Building Healthy Neighborhoods with Trees Forum on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Oakland Museum of California

Elected Officials, City Managers, Planning and Public Works Directors are invited to spend a day learning about how urban forestry can help grow healthy communities in the East Bay with experts from regional planning, public health and urban tree canopy analysis. Be inspired by the many benefits trees provide and find out how to develop, implement and fund an urban forestry plan.

Our keynote speaker, Nathanael Johnson, author of Unseen City takes us on a journey that is part nature lesson and part love letter to the world's urban jungles. With the right perspective, a walk to the bus stop can be every bit as entrancing as a walk through a national park.
