BayREN's 2020 Energy-Saving Work Highlighted

BayREN

The Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) is looking at milestones achieved during 2020.

During 2020, BayREN shifted to virtual trainings and workshops, and was able to provide more educational resources than ever before. In partnership with the California Center for Sustainable Communities, BayREN launched the Bay Area Energy Atlas, another 2020 highlight. The tool is a database of electricity and gas consumption, and it can assist local governments with climate action planning.

BayREN  — administered by the the Association of Bay Area Governments —  offers regional energy programs, services and resources that promote energy savings, while helping local governments evaluate ways to come into compliance with state energy code.

The programs result in energy and cost savings for thousands, while playing a role in fighting climate change by reducing carbon emissions.
