Bay Area Energy Storage Fire Safety and Code Symposium on November 8th

Local government sustainability staff, fire safety and building code officials are invited by the San Francisco Department of the Environment to attend the Bay Area Energy Storage Fire Safety and Code Symposium on November 8th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 455 Market Street, 22nd Floor in San Francisco.



This forum will focus on the benefits and policy considerations associated with thousands of upcoming energy storage projects. Expert panelists will discuss technology basics, current and future applications, and market projections. Fire protection and code experts will discuss important, forthcoming 2019 energy storage fire safety standards, such as the NFPA 855, as well as product safety standards that address concerns about the installation of energy storage systems in buildings. Presenters will explore AB 546, a new bill signed by Governor Brown that aims to streamline permitting processes for energy storage systems.
