The Bay Area Housing Element Working Group recently sent this letter to all the Planning Directors around the region. This Working Group is comprised of equity advocates who are participating in the Housing Element update process in various parts of the Bay Area. The recommendations in the letter seem well-suited to help jurisdictions meet HCD’s very high public engagement expectations, though we acknowledge that some recommendations may not be feasible for all jurisdictions.
