Community Land Trusts (CLTs) are typically nonprofit organizations that develop and manage property for the benefit of the community.
CLTs may develop and own affordable housing, commercial space, community gardens, agricultural land, open space or other community-oriented property. They are governed by a board that includes residents, community members and public representatives.
