SB 9 imposes certain restrictions on the use of the parcels and/or units that are developed pursuant to its provisions. The restrictions differ slightly for two-unit developments and urban lot splits. The model ordinance includes "recommended" provisions requiring applicants to record a deed restriction against the subject properties documenting these limitations. These sample deed restrictions – which require both owner and jurisdiction signature – may be used for these purposes.
