ABAG and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission provided Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) Policy Adoption Technical Assistance to all Bay Area jurisdictions needing assistance with Senate Bill (SB) 743 compliance.
The technical assistance provided guidance and tools to formally adopt thresholds, screens, mitigations and other VMT supportive policies. The assistance was provided through a working group approach by county with a curriculum and collaborative learning experience, and localized assistance for each city was also provided.
