AB 1332 Pre-approved ADU Plans Information Sessions & Resources

The RHTA Program is hosting a series of information sessions on AB 1332 in 2024 and early 2025 to prepare jurisdictions to create a program to pre-approve ADU plans by January 1, 2025. Resources from the information sessions and technical assistance developed for AB 1332 are detailed below.

AB 1332 Overview and Implementation Checklist

AB 1332 (Government Code 65852.27) went into effect on January 1, 2025, and requires every jurisdiction in California to give architects, designers or other potential applicants the option to have Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) plans reviewed, pre-approved for use and listed online.
