Housing Technical Assistance

The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) have collected a robust and growing selection of resources to support jurisdictions in creating effective housing policies and practices. These include resources developed by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), ABAG, county collaboratives and third parties with expertise in specific areas of analysis, policy and practice. Areas of focus include: Housing Elements, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH), Public Engagement, Housing Choices, Pro-Housing Practices and Resilience, as well as resources about the Regional Early Action Planning (REAP) program and Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) process.
