Ken Kirkey, Planning Director will provide an overview of the meeting, other relevant Integrated Regional Planning Program projects and activities and upcoming meetings.
REPORT ON COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY (CEDS)
Cynthia Kroll, Chief Economist and Assistant Director for Economic Development and Forecasting, and Johnny Jaramillo, Manager, Economic Program, Integrated Planning and Research Department, will provide an update on the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, including the process of gathering Board of Supervisors endorsements of the CEDS vision, goals and objectives, and discussions to date on organization structure. The committee members will be asked for their input on the organizational structure for the Regional Economic Development District.

REPORT ON CASA - COMMITTEE TO HOUSE THE BAY AREA
Ken Kirkey, Planning Director, will provide an overview of CASA the Committee to House the Bay Area and the potential relationship of CASA to the Regional Planning Committee (RPC) and its Housing Subcommittee. As CASA Steering Committee members, ABAG President, Julie Pierce, and ABAG RPC Housing Subcommittee Chair, Julie Combs, will provide additional perspective. The RPC members will be asked for their input, especially with regard to the linkage between CASA and the cities/counties, for example through development of tools and technical assistance tailored to address region wide challenges and those unique to specific parts of the region
